Malacca - A city of history
|

I joined the Shell Photography Club to Malacca for the weekend. There were 12 of us, each armed with a camera to 'shoot'!
We stayed in Hotel Puri, a very interesting 'Peranakan' hotel near the famous Jonker Street. Nice and comfortable environment and at a very affordable price too!
Malacca, the historical city is abundant with interesting architectures and antiques. Slightly NOT very 'photographer-friendly'  at times as they don't allow photography at certain shops and stalls. So be wary of the signs! However, most of the other sceneries are FREE for the taking... so, grab your cameras and head down to Malacca for a wonderful historical experience!

Dinner at Rumahku for Pauline's and Lee Shee's birthday

The month of May, Pauline and Lee Shee's birthday on 16/5 and 6/5 respectively, my friends and I gathered together and treated them dinner.
Went to this bungalow restaurant, Rumahku (opposite Universiti Hospital) for dinner with my dear friends.
This restaurant is small, cosy and served a great meal at affordable prices. Parking was difficult, but they provided guards and helped in guiding the cars out of the tight squeeze of a road.
That night, we spend less than RM100 for 7 dishes, 3 slices of cake and 1 fruit platter.  yummy! The servings were a bit small but everything that we ordered tasted DELICIOUS!  A definite must-try "Fried beans in XO sauce". Too hungry, forgot to take a picture of that dish.
Happy birthday to my dearest friends! Whose next??

I happened to have my camera today and shot my office birthday celebration.
Every month, the BIG boss will belanja cake for all the employee in his department having their birthday in that month. This month, it is Yee Lee, Syhan and Mat Lodin's month, they are the first birthday celebration I captured!
Every time, you make new colleague and you find a friend in office,  they always like to leave... maybe it is me
I think the grass is greener elsewhere, if you see my fotopages, most of the pictures are of farewells.. Bee Imm (in blue), GOOD LUCK and KEEP IN TOUCH!

My colleague has decided to seek greener pasture in Singapore.... A few of us organised a farewell for her last Thursday (17/3/05) at a Japanese Restaurant buffet style...yummy!

Outing to FRIM

My office colleagues organised a hiking trip to the Forest Reserve Institute of Malaysia (F.R.I.M.) on Saturday and we had a blast with nature.
We trekked a long distance thru the forest for 3 hours!!! and climbed hills to get to the canopy walk....
Was tired at the end but it was worth it!

My department had a get-together this evening with games and buffet dinner.
Had an interesting time as the games conducted was awesome. One involves cutting flour and another walking while balancing a ping pong ball.
Got a very nice door gift, a butterfly key chain!
